Give the Savior a Christmas Gift - FHE

Give the Savior a Christmas Gift -- of your service -- for Christmas this year.

The premise of this cute idea is simple. Christmas is about the Savior, and since we can't give him a tangible "present" when we celebrate his birthday in December, how about we offer him the gift of extra service?

Jenny's Super Simple LDS Chistmas Script

I wrote this script to be used as a base for planning LDS Christmas programs. This contains the text of the Christmas story from Luke and Matthew, directly from the scriptures. It also has suggested hymns and songs to be sung in each section.

The Secret of The Star (Christmas)

Preparation:
Make handmade 6-pointed paper star ornaments by pressing paper pulp into a chocolate sucker mold. The mold is rounded with a symetrical poinsetia or snowflake inside.(Google for info on how to make paper.) While wet, make sure light cannot be seen through the ornament to make sure it is thick enough. Then when dry, pop out and rub lightly with gold and silver glitter glue. This will bring out the star shape. Use a needle to thread embroidery floss for hanging.<P>I also printed a sheet with the intro on it and a second sheet with the references and a copy of a six-pointed star, for personal notes.<P>On the table could be a picture of the wise men following the star.
Intro is read while Silent Night is played softly in the background:
