Cell Phone / Prayer

Pondering - What purpose does it serve

In 3 Nephi 17 the Lord encourages the people to go to their homes and ponder on what He has taught, because "I perceive...that ye cannot understand all my words." Pondering helps us see the "full picture" of what we have learned. It consists of focus, concentration and patience. The more we ponder the more complete will be our "view" and understanding of the principle, doctrine or concept. It was pondering James 1:5 that sent Joseph to his knees.
