We had sisters in our ward share their salsa recipes, make and bring salsa for eating, and even learned how to salsa dance. One sister demonstrated her salsa making skills and we had a pinata at the end to break with some yummy candy inside.
This unit's Relief Society held a canned food drive for Super Saturday in support of a local domestic violence shelter. Soups were served as a meal (making it a "Souper" Saturday), and a simple craft as a gift for the women in the shelter
was created. Women were given a list of items that the shelter was in need of that they could donate along with a cute invitation.
We held a "Make a Mix Night" where the sisters made a biscuit mix and a cookie mix to take home. Each brought
a couple ice cream buckets and $ to cover the cost. The night of we then assembled together and tasted and shared recipes. We were going to do this at a members home, but we got such a big response, we had to move it to the church. A success for us!
The following questions were used at a Relief Society Enrichment activity. Women brought stuff from home or offered services that were "auctioned" using the play money that women earned from this form.
This themed Enrichment night describes silhouette images of RS sisters, matching invitations, and a skit relating to the past, present, and future of RS. Includes ideas on how to get women from other auxiliaries to participate, and includes a part for a transitioning Laurel. Includes lots of pictures, a link to a skit, and other information.
