{Personal Progress} Integrity #1: S’mores Night

Downloaded from: http://littleldsideas.blogspot.com/2014/08/personal-progress-integrity-1-smores.html This summer I thought it would be fun to have S’mores for one of our Personal Progress nights. The only thing was I wasn’t sure how to incorporate S’mores into Personal Progress.I decided to look through my Personal Progress booklet and read through the experiences to see if I could come up with something. As I read Integrity #1 I had an idea!“Integrity is the willingness and desire…

{Sharing Time} I Can Know The Truth Through The Power Of The Holy Ghost

Downloaded from: http://littleldsideas.blogspot.com/2014/07/sharing-time-i-can-know-truth-through.html Sharing Time Ideas from 2014 OutlineIDENTIFY THE DOCTRINE (distinguishing truth from error): Write, on separate pieces of paper, some statements that are clearly true and others that are obviously false (such as “The sun is warm,” “Ice is hot,” “Stars shine at night,” and “Fire is cold”).  Invite a child to choose one to read aloud, and ask the children to stand if the statement is true…

Helaman 1-16

Helaman 1-5 Had to combine this day due to snow. We continued with March Madness.  Kids shared “what did you learn”s with the class from the reading. On the board I wrote the following words: trolling, bullying, picking, teasing, joshing, joking, criticizing, gossiping, ridiculing, make fun of, judging I opened with a short discussion about what God sounds like (Helaman 5:28-31) and what that teaches us about God.  One point…

Come Unto Christ

The 2014 Mutual Theme for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is “Come Unto Christ.” The theme is based on the scripture: “Come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness” (Moroni 10:32).

My stake is focusing on “Hastening the Work” this year, and one of the things they continually mention is that they want each member in our stake to have a missionary experience. The experience doesn’t have to be baptizing someone, or even having a friend take discussions; they want each person to help someone come unto Christ. I am going to focus on helping the women I visit teach to come closer to Christ this month.

The youth theme this year is focusing on helping the youth to develop relationships with their Savior, and this includes helping friends and family to do the same. I am excited to see the youth in my ward and stake grow closer to Christ as they learn more about Him, obey the commandments, and deny themselves of all ungodliness and embrace lives of happiness, purity, and faithful living.

These two printables are more for the Young Women than the Young Men (probably a little too girly for those Deacons…), but they highlight the beauty and serenity that each Young Woman can feel as they come closer to the Savior of the world. I know that coming unto Christ is the best thing that each person can do, and I am grateful for the personal relationship I have with Him.

What are you doing this year to come unto Christ?

Moroni 10:4-5 Activity

Downloaded from: http://seminaryatsixam.blogspot.com/2013/09/moroni-104-5-activity.html Post-it notes are this teacher’s best friend. Every word, comma, semi-colon, period, and number is on a separate post-it note. I bought the 3×5 size at the dollar store over the summer so that large words would not be crowded on a square post-it. For smaller words and punctuation, I cut them in half.I place the Post-it notes with all over the wall in random order and they…
