#1 For every child in my Ward
For every child in my Ward that is Baptized I make a small white bag, in this bag I put a heart, small quilted blanket (12"x12"), a candle, a key, a calling card (a buisiness card with a picture Jesus and the card says "In case of emergency. Confused or in doubt - Call Home(pray)", chewing gum, measuring tape, something that symbolizes the scriptures.
On a piece card stock I write:
White Bag - Stands for cleanliness and purity. That is how you feel after Baptism
Heart - Listen to your heart to hear the promptings of the Holy Ghost (a small whisper or burning)
Blanket - The Holy Ghost is a comforter
Candle - LIghts a room like the Holy Ghost will your way
Key - Key to happiness is to get the spirit and keep it.
Calling Card - In cse of emergency. Confused or in doubt - Call HOme (pray)
Chewing Gum - Choose the Right
Measuring tape - Take time to measure the blessings taht come to you because of your membership in the Church.
Scriptures - Search the scriptures, there you will find answers to ecery problem you will have.
"The Holy Ghost is a Gift"
You can use this as an object lesson/talk, then give the child the bag to take home.
