Parable of the Talents Activity

Anonymous's picture
Tell the Parable of the Talents found in Matthew 25: 14-30, and then act out the story. Discuss talents.

If someone in your group has the talent of cooking, invite them to prepare refreshments for the activity.

Prepare this play for FHE or YW. It is fun to act out or even show your talents. You may even combine this activity with a talent show. Don't put anyone down whose talent is still developing -- encourage them in all their efforts to better themselves.

(This might make a starting point for a Young Women in Excellence activity. See "Parables of Jesus: Parable of Talents" by Donald Rasband, Ensign, August 2003, page 32 for more lesson and talk ideas on this topic. - J.)
